Rules, not predictions

Mint EA

One pair. One idea. Since 1999.

Mint EA is trading software you run on your own account, at your own broker. We rent it. We never touch your money.

What it actually is

Mint EA is an automated trading program for MetaTrader 5. It trades one pair, EURUSD, on the two-hour chart, and it does nothing else. It holds one position at a time, always with a stop loss placed at the broker, and it never adds to a losing trade. No grid. No martingale. No hedging. No news filter.

It is deliberately slow — roughly one trade a week. Eight filters decide whether a candidate becomes a trade, and about six in seven are refused. Behind them a volatility scaler adjusts those thresholds to current conditions, so the same rule reads differently in a quiet market than in a fast one. Most of what the market offers, it declines.

We rent the software. We do not sell it, we do not manage accounts, and we do not take a share of anyone’s profits. The account is yours, in your name, at your broker, and you can switch it off at any moment.

Built to refuse

Most candidates are turned down

Eight filters sit in front of every entry, and about six candidates in seven are turned down. That refusal is the whole point. Mint EA is not trying to be in the market — it is trying to be in the market only when its own conditions are met, and the rest of the time it waits with your capital untouched and a stop already in place.

The thresholds move

Quiet weeks and violent ones are not the same

The thresholds are not fixed numbers. A volatility scaler moves them with conditions, so a candle that qualifies in a quiet week may not qualify in a violent one.

Roughly one trade a week. No chasing, no averaging down, no doubling up after a loss. The discipline is in the software, which means it holds on the days a person wouldn’t.

The evidence, since 1999

The idea has been run against two brokers’ historical data going back to 1999 — two independent feeds, agreeing year by year. It has been profitable across two decades of years it was never tuned on, and it has never had the kind of failure that ends an account.

You won’t find a headline return on this page. Numbers chosen for a landing page are chosen to look good, and we would rather hand you the real ones and let you check them. Ask, and you get the runs themselves — the whole record, not a highlight.

The Risks and Drawdowns

'Prudency' is our main concern

One idea, unchanged at its core: the geometry of two-hour candles. Eight filters decide whether a candidate becomes a trade, a volatility scaler adjusts those thresholds to current conditions, and every position carries a hard stop at the broker from the moment it opens.

Nothing in it depends on news, sentiment or forecasting. It does not care what anyone thinks the market will do next — it reads what the chart has already done and applies the same rules every time.

The Forex Brokers, Forex Pairs, and Time Frames

Our Expert Advisor runs on MetaTrader 5. It trades one pair, EURUSD, on the two-hour chart, and nothing else.

When it comes to brokers, Dukascopy, the esteemed Swiss brokerage, is our preferred choice. There are several compelling reasons for this selection:
Extensive Historical Data: Dukascopy provides historical data going back to 1999 for system testing. Such long and accurate datasets are invaluable for thorough backtesting, and no other broker offers this level of depth.
Financial Security: Being an actual bank based in Switzerland, Dukascopy adds an extra layer of fund security. This assurance is crucial when trusting a broker with your investments.
Comprehensive Ecosystem: Dukascopy offers an integrated ecosystem including licensed banking services, credit cards, and extensive commodity and currency exchange activities. This holistic approach enhances the trading experience by providing diverse financial services under one roof.

While there are many brokers available in the market, it’s essential to choose one that aligns with your trading goals and offers reliable services. Selecting a trustworthy broker like Dukascopy ensures smoother transactions, transparent dealings, and a higher level of customer support. This choice not only enhances the effectiveness of our Expert Advisor but also safeguards your trading endeavours.
By focusing on brokers that provide robust data and secure services, we enhance both the efficiency and safety of our trading strategy. The combination of the right broker, optimal currency pairs, and precise timeframes is integral to achieving consistent success in the Forex market.

How we price it

The MQL5 signal is free while it builds a public record. Rental starts once there is something real to point at.

Recommended: $5,000. Minimum: $1,000. We run the minimum ourselves, on a live account, so we see exactly what a small account sees.

Below $1,000 the signal is the better route — a copier scales positions to fit whatever you have. From $1,000 up, the software runs conservatively by construction and grows smoother as the account does.

The Support

From the moment you start with us, we support you the whole way. Our team monitors and refines the software daily to keep it performing, and we stay in regular contact to answer questions and resolve issues. It is backed by a dedicated team — not just another plug-and-play robot like many Expert Advisors online — with a personal touch and proactive support to keep your experience smooth.

We don't publish return figures on this page, because figures chosen for a website are chosen to look good. Email support@mintforex.co and we'll send the full record, including the worst of it. Multi-year flat stretches are normal for this strategy.

Every position carries a hard stop placed at the broker from the moment it opens. One position at a time, no grid, no martingale, no hedging, and it never adds to a losing trade. Most candidates are refused outright.

EURUSD only, on the two-hour chart, on MetaTrader 5. It does nothing else.

Risk disclosure

Trading foreign exchange carries substantial risk and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose money, including more than you expect in fast markets — weekend gaps can and do fill past a stop loss.

Past performance, whether historical testing or a live record, does not predict future results. Mint EA is software licensed to you; we do not manage your account, hold your funds or give investment advice. Any figures we send you are from verified sources and come with their worst case attached.
